Garden Design, Planting Design and Garden Projects
Getting your garden design project started
Whether looking to reinvent an existing space or create an entirely new look we can design, build and plant, creating a brand new garden scene tailored just to you. The garden is a very personal thing, so it's really important we get a good understanding of you and your garden from the outset. The process requires both horticultural knowledge and an artistic hand in order to deliver the vision you've always wanted from your garden. Sarah and I guide you through the process of bringing to live your vision, with a new garden landscape tailored specifically to you.
Garden and planting design with themes, styles, colours, plants and planting options
Helping you define your vision for your garden. We'll ask you to have a good think in advance about any potential plants, colour schemes, themes or styles that you like.
These don’t necessarily have to be garden or plant related as this stage is all about us learning about and getting to know you, your tastes and bringing to life your vision.
Pictures, screenshots, magazine articles etc. are all great for this, but please don’t worry if you really haven’t got a clue. We’re here to guide and steer you through the process.
With this as our starting point we’ll explore an overall vision and feel for your garden project, and present you with potential options for the centrepiece items that could form a structure on which to build from.
For more details on themes, styles, inspiration and ideas we can help you with please see 'more info' below.

Making the grounds and landscape ready
Whether restoring an existing natural bed, creating a new one or building a raised bed or planter, we'll design, build and prepare the grounds to kick-start the perfect visual scene and healthy conditioned grounds ready to receive our new plants. If you already have a landscaper builder in place then we'll be happy to work with them.
Delivering your new garden scene
As soon as the planting plan and plant selection list is finalised it's time to go shopping! Supplied by dedicated specialists for our mature, exotic and specimen plants and supporting a number of local independent nurseries and specialists for our general stock plants. Each plant is handpicked and fully checked by us before being delivered to your garden.
And with the grounds prepared and our plants all lined up and ready to go we invite you to join us and be as involved as you like to be in the fun bit of arranging your plants into our final scene.
Then it's back over to us for the planting, watering-in and tidying up, finally leaving you to enjoy your brand new garden.
Safeguarding your investment
We want your new garden to be one that is loved and enjoyed year after year.
To help support this we offer seasonal maintenance sessions including winter preparation and cold weather wrapping as well as ad hoc sessions for any parties or special events. We can also provide seasonal planting refreshes and theme changes should your tastes change or you fancy trying something different in the future.
Budget / Costs / Timescales
With planting no two projects are exactly the same. The key areas that determine the costs are the level of grounds work or landscape build required and the cost of the plants we’re going to go with, which is determined by the individual types of plants selected, their size and maturity.
We're happy working with you on projects delivered as a one-off, or delivered in stages over time to suit your priorities and timescales, so please don't hesitate to get in touch.
In all our works and services we’re looking at and continually assessing the bigger picture: the garden as whole and how to make the best out of it for you. We like to spend some time in your garden with you to get a good understanding of both your needs and your vision. We'll then spend sometime exploring your garden on our own, taking a proper look at the current layout of the garden and the makeup and conditions of the grounds. We then run through our observations, suggestions and recommendations with view. Once we all have a pretty good understanding on what we'd like, we head home to put together a budgetary quote with options for you to review and follow up with a visit or call to run through the options, costs and process.
Note: We do not charge or add anything onto your pricing for the above.
For natural soft landscaping features we provide all kinds of flower beds: natural beds, wooden framed and raised railway sleeper beds. New lawns or replacement of turf. And garden ponds, garden streams and water features.
For manmade hard landscaping features we provide Modern, contemporary rendered garden planters and beds. Rendered or railway sleeper seating areas combined with planters / beds. As well as pergolas, patios, paths, fencing and garden screening.
